Soft solidworks

1. Go to P:\Office of Research\Research Computing\RC\SolidWorks\2024


2. Copy the 3 folders starting with "SOLIDWORKS" and paste them into your local machine at a convenient location
3. In your local machine, open the folder "SOLIDWORKS1of3"
4. Right click Setup.exe and click on "Run as Administrator"


5. Select "Install on this computer" and "Next"


6. In "3D Design" section, SOLIDWORKS should be ticked by default, if not, tick it
7. Fill the serial number of the license in the blank spaces in front of "SOLIDWORKS", this number can be found in P:\Office of Research\Research Computing\RC\SolidWorks\2024\license.txt


8. Click on Next
9. Accept the terns of the SOLIDWORKS and click on "Install Now"


10. You will be asked for the License Server address. Look it up in: P:\Office of Research\Research Computing\RC\SolidWorks\2024\license.txt


11. Installation will begin


12. When the following pop up window appears, select "Browse to download" and input the full path to the folder "SOLIDWORKS2of3" on your machine, then click on "OK"
13. Idem when disk 3 is asked, but replace "SOLIDWORKS2of3" per "SOLIDWORKS3of3"
14. At the end of the installation, you will see the following window, select "No, thank you" and then click on "Finish"


15. Finally, click en "Restart Now" to finalize the installation
16. The installation should be complete, to test it, after having restarted your computer, try to launch SOLIDWORKS 2024, if you reach the following screen, everything should be fine:
